A Tribute

A tribute to my grandfather, John Edward Ohsberg, Jr.
He has been described many ways: a gentleman, a warrior, the “Candy Man”, a man of God, husband, father, grandfather, wood worker, machinist, WWII vet, fisherman, elder, friend. To me, he was Papa. Although I rejoice at the thought that he is now with Grammy in Heaven, I will miss him. I love you, Papa.

    Hey Julie,
    Thank you for the picture tribute. I think about you and your family often. And I remember John every time that I look at my book shelf and see the beautiful wood cup and dish that he madw for me. I use tjhem every time that I do a wedding. He was an awesome man and we will all miss him, but he lives on in our hearts and we will all be together forever.

    Dearest Julie,

    Thank you so much for the beautiful tribute you produced for Papa. We are so grateful for the talents you have to bring his life together in our family pcitures. He was a special man in so many ways and even though we cry everytime we watch this video we are so lucky to have this remembrance and to have had him in our lives. He is at peace, – just where he wanted to be with Mom and Ginger.

    Dear Julie,

    Thank you for sharing such a wonderful tribute to John with us. He was always very special to me….more like a brother than a cousin. He spent much of my early life with us and has left me with many wonderful memories. We are all so fortunate to have had him in our lives. I will never forget the great times he and Ginny had with Aunt Fran and Uncle Everett.
