Ok, maybe not 476, but it sure seems like I am sharing Emmyisms quite often. She just has so many cute things to say! I certainly should not be the only one to enjoy them, so I am sharing the wealth.
Here is the latest edition.
During science time, we were discussing mammals and the characteristics that make certain animals mammals. I asked Abby to name one characteristic. “It has fur,” she said.
Mimi corrected her, “But I am a mammal and I don’t have any fur!”
“Well, hair!” Abby said.
I went on to ask what another characteristic was. CJ said that they give live birth to their young.
“Emmy, do you know something that makes an animal a mammal?”
She thought for a minute and looked from me to Mimi (who were both wearing our glasses at the time) and said, “Sometimes mammals wear glasses!”

Our neighbor came over today needing Brenden’s help. When Brenden got to the door she explained that a lizard was in her house and she needed help getting it out. Brenden went right over, and I explained to curious Abby what he was doing. “When he gets that lizard out of her house, can he bring it into our house? I love lizards. It would be fun to have one in our house.” (Not so much!)
